Our Approach: Where Traditional Chinese Medicine Meets Modern Care
Blue Ova Health was founded in 2014 by Women's Health Acupuncturist Robin Sheared, L.Ac., FABROM and her sister Shannon Kidwell with a clear and urgent vision: to transform the way fertility, pregnancy, and women's health is managed and experienced in this country.
That vision is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), an ancient, evidence-informed system of care that treats the whole person rather than just a diagnosis. But Robin and Shannon knew that TCM works best not in isolation, but in partnership. Blue Ova was built from the ground up to integrate seamlessly with Western reproductive medicine, so patients never have to choose between their acupuncturist and their OB or RE. They work together, as a team, centered around you.
Central to everything we do is the Blue Ova Method — a proven, whole-body approach to reproductive wellness developed by Robin Sheared. The Blue Ova Method combines personalized care, root-cause medicine, and compassionate support to optimize fertility and reproductive health. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, it looks upstream to understand why the body is struggling and addresses those root causes through a carefully tailored integrative plan — one that honors the complexity of each individual's biology and lived experience.
